Let's start this post off right, shall we? ......
You're welcome.
So last week while we were still in LA visiting my family, my mom and I took James to the beach one afternoon. It was chilly, breezy, empty, and PERFECT. I really miss being a 20 minute drive away from the beach. It's something I used to take for granted. Now that I don't live "home" anymore, I am reminded of how good I had it (and will have it again when we move back next year) every time I visit. A 20 minute drive gets you to the best shopping in the world, Disneyland, the beach, and a million other amazing things.
We spent the afternoon barefoot, toes in the ocean, building sand castles, chasing birds, and running free. James had SUCH a good time. It's so fun to take him to wide open spaces where he can run aimlessly and we don't have to worry about him getting hurt.
Being outdoors by the ocean is just good for your soul.
Look at this little face... It just kills me.
But now we are back in Bakersfield, making the most of things, cooking and baking up a storm, visiting Toys R Us daily, and counting down the days until we go back to see our fam. (5 days!)
