Hang Loose

Happy Halloween you guys! I thought it only appropriate that James wear a semi Halloween outfit today before we change into his costume tonight so this "Hang Loose" tee with the skeleton on it from Tiny Whales was an obvious choice.

Usually I post first thing in the morning but this post is going up late because this is ACTUALLY what James is wearing today. Yes, usually his outfit posts are from the week prior so I have time to edit them and all that jazz so this is a first.

We paired this spooky rad tee with his brand new harem pants that Carly Megan gifted us. Aren't they fun?! We added pumpkin moccs since it's Halloween and all and you've got yourself a sweet outfit!

We spent today at the LA Zoo and had a blast! James said WOW over one hundred times. Obviously he loved it. Here's some more photos-

Now were headed home to get in James' costume and go trick or treating!

Tomorrow I'll be back to share tons of costume pics because James looks ADORABLE in his costume. You're going to freak.

Have a happy and safe Halloween! Don't forget to steal some of your kids candy. It's only fair.

Milk Drunk

My friend Jen is the mama behind the company Little Boogaweezin. Her shop is full of amazing clothes for your little ones and you should definitely take the time to check it out! She recently sent James her staple Milk Drunk tee and we love it! Everyone kept commenting on it when we were out and about at the playground.

It's finally out of the 80's and into the 70's and 60's here. We even had a rain day Monday and yesterday which prevented us from going to any playgrounds but we had some indoor date days with friends instead.

Happy hump day guys! Hope your week is going well and that you're all ready for Halloween tomorrow!!

Messy Hair Don't Care

I am SO. IN. LOVE. WITH. THIS. OUTFIT. Just thought you guys should know. Whoever said it was more fun to dress girls was SERIOUSLY kidding themselves. Dressing my boy is hands down what I live for and I'm obsessed with this whole ensemble.

Quinn and Fox sent us this tee and it's PERFECT for James because his wild hair is always messy and all over the place. Some mornings I will even style it with product and a brush and it still somehow gets messy five minutes later. This tee was made for James. Quinn and Fox is a rad little shop that makes awesome tees in limited quantities that way if you are lucky enough to be able to snag one, it really is a one of a kind special tee that not everyone and their mom has.

As a mom who dresses her son in very unique, one of a kind items, I truly appreciate that!!

James' leggings are from my sweet friend Jennifer who is AMAZING. And his moccs are the pumpkin color- tis the season.

Anyway, pumpkin moccs on we headed to a pumpkin patch last week to pick out some pumpkins for James to carve and color. Last year we did the same but I don't think James remembers it at all. He was only one and too little to really get into it. This year though he has been pointing out pumpkins to me every time he sees them so I was really excited to take him to pick out his very own! We had such a great time and James loved it!! Here's some photos I took-

Have you guys visited the pumpkin patch yet? You've only got a couple more days to go and it makes for great photo ops!

Hello Monday Hello James

First and foremost I want to wish my husband a very happy birthday! He turns 26 years young today! I woke up early at 5:30am to make him his favorite breakfast. Chocolate chip pancakes with an ungodly amount of whipped cream. James isn't used to the time change so he got up that early too. No such luck in me going back to bed..

Sadly he has to work but James and I headed out to his job site to surprise him with his favorite pancake chocolate chip cookies. I call them that because they are paper thin and amazing!

We also made a pit stop for balloons because James insisted that daddy needed some. I think they're secretly for James.

When he gets home we'll open presents and eat this cake I made him-

Turned out pretty good right?! My husband is the most generous, giving, and kind guy. He really is. Plus he's smoking hot, super funny, and provides for us like no other. I am so blessed to be his wife.

So! Happy birthday Derek and happy Monday to all of you! Here's what last week looked like for us-

Last Monday we spent the day with my mom and went to Chuck E Cheese. James keeps seeing commercials for it and has been begging me to go. He says- "Baby, go Chuck CHEEEESSSEE!" How could I resist that? We had a blast. It rained too so it was the perfect indoor activity.

On Tuesday one of my friends and her daughter came over so the kids could have a play date and we could chat. Then we ventured out and had lunch at my new favorite spot- Lemonade. If you're in CA, check them out!!! It's super healthy and affordable food with tons of vegetarian options for me. A cute little trendy place!

Wednesday I got all my house work done, did a bunch of baking and cooking and we went to the playground.

Thursday I took James to the LA Zoo during the day in a Halloween appropriate outfit and we had a blast! Then we came home, suited up in kid costume, and got ready for Halloween! My mom and sister came over for dinner and then we took James trick or treating.

Friday we spent the day at Chuck E Cheese and then at night my parents watched James while Derek and I got a double date with my bestie from high school and her husband. We went out for dinner and then saw Bad Grandpa. It was pretty hilarious. Stupid hilarious but I laughed so hard my insides hurt.

Saturday Derek went skateboarding so James and I had a morning breakfast date at Starbucks and then spent the day shopping. I did some cooking and got all my grocery shopping and errands done.

Sunday we spent the day at church and I volunteered in the nursery. I do it once a month and it's so fun!! Can we also talk about how the time change is stupid? Because it is. We need to stop that. If too have a small child then you know it's stupid. We woke up at six am instead of seven am. See, dumb!! Anyway!!

I hope you all had a wonderful week!

Here's some pics from our week. I did good with taking photos this week!

Hello to lunch dates with pretty girls.

Hello to what I call pancake cookies. Paper thin deliciousness. Just how my husband always requests them. Basically just melt your butter beforehand!

Hello to the sweetest sleeping boy. I can't even fathom the idea of thinking about having another baby because this IS my baby. My one and only. My whole world.

Hello to head pillows.

Hello to date night.

Hello to a sexy hubs.

Hello to no sweets November. Yup no sweets for the whole month. Let's see if I can do this!

Hello to a new recipe. Chili skillet. Elbow pasta, ground beef, cheese, beans, jalapeƱos, and tomatos. So easy.

Hello to the cutest smiling boy.

Hello to my favorite store, hello to shopping, and hello to doing some serious damage. Madewell is my danger zone.

Hello to my handsome Starbucks date. He was such a good boy while we did so much shopping so we stopped in for a quick bite halfway through. James even helped pick out some of daddy's birthday gifts and carried some bags for me.

Hello to being really into monsters university. We bought it and James loved it!!

Hello to TRUTH. Stupid daylight savings time!!

Have an awesome week you guys!

Hello Monday Hello James

Wow, what a FULL AND FUN WEEK WE HAD!

Monday I had the whole day to myself while my mom watched James. I spent it at a ritzy salon getting pampered and it was amazing.

Tuesday James and I started a story time at the library. It goes on every Tuesday and our city library is gorgeous. Seriously, like it makes all other libraries look like dumps. They only let 20 kids go so I was thrilled that I was able to get James in! We love free events like these! Only problem was, we left early because James was not a huge fan.. We may stick to just checking out books. After that we went to the pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins and spent the rest of the day decorating them.

Wednesday we met my cousin who moved to Hollywood recently for lunch, got some errands done and did a playground trip.

Thursday James and I went over to my friends house for brunch. I brought some yummy pumpkin bread.  Hopefully you caught the recipe for it that I posted last week and made some for yourself!

Friday James and I spent the day at my parents house and got working on his Halloween costume. At night we went with some good friends to an annual Harvest Festival. There were hayrides and pony rides, candy, food, pumpkins, carnival games, face painting, giant slides and bounce houses. Thankfully my mom and I finished his costume on time so jr could wear it. You guys are going to die when I show you on my Halloween post on Friday!

Saturday was our relax day. Well, kind of. Derek had his monthly class so James and I spent the day doing some errands and went to the park.

Sunday we spent the day at church and the rest of the day in our pajamas. James and I didn't feel too hot yesterday so we carved pumpkins, watched movies, and roasted pumpkin seeds. Basically just fun lazy stuff!

Anyway, here are some photos I took-

Hello to my sweet sweet boys. This picture melts my heart into a big ol' puddle of mush.

Hello to our public library. It's kind of pretty. We made it through half of story time and then James started doing somersaults which apparently is frowned upon. Maybe next week will be better.

Hello to some pretty pumpkin coloring from my little artist.

Hello to baby and puppy cuddling. These two were out cold.

Hello to funny faces.

Hello to some fun changes. I thought I should give my hair a little rest with Fall and Winter approaching so I went from blonde to bronde. I'm really liking it!

Hello to play dates.

Hello to Halloween baking. My favorite.

Hello to Sunday school. This is the first time we had to stay in with James because he sobbed when we left. I think he is coming down with a cold or something and maybe that's why. Oh and those are Cheetos he's eating. Not play dough.

Hello to roasting pumpkin seeds for the first time.

Hello to poop and football.

Have a fantastic week everyone and enjoy Halloween!!
